Ivan Lai is the founder of HKC Consulting and a financial professional whose background blends the discipline of corporate finance with a genuine passion for helping small businesses thrive. Ivan graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business Economics and spent years inside a large organization overseeing corporate finance operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow management, and internal financial controls.

After years in the corporate world, Ivan noticed that the small and medium-sized business owners he encountered in the San Francisco Bay Area were operating without any of those systems. Some were too busy to stay organized. Some were intimidated by compliance requirements. Others just didn't have anyone in their corner they could actually trust.
